PERRY WARD (1867-1925). PICTURE.
The blood line of Perry Ward can be traced back to his grandparents who are
Henry Loveday(1800-1841?) and Rachel Ward(1811-1870): Rachel is the
daughter of Benjamin Ward Jr. Rachel Ward Kennedy Tackett Thompson is
buried in the Carroll-Adkins Cemetery with two of her husbands; Martin
Kennedy and John Tackett one mile up Beech Fork Creek from New River.
Eli(Loveday)Ward(1831-1897) is the s/o Henry Loveday and Rachel Ward,
and the father of Perry Ward. Eli had brothers named William and
Dukey Ward, and ½ brothers; Sterling, Martin Jr and Lorenza(Ell)
Kennedy; Also Mike and Ike Tackett; Also John R Thompson.

died of a gunshot wound, buried in Byrge Cemetery.
FAMILY LEGEND: Bob Bunch married Pearl Ward, Walter's sister; Walter and
Bob Bunch were making Moonshine whiskey, One day in a drunken state of mind
they got in an argument and were struggling with a pistol, which discharged into
Walters stomach; Walter died about a week later from the gunshot.
According to statements from family members Walter made peace with God on
his deathbed, and died telling his brothers not to blame Bob.

According to Dana Ward; Leeman was married to Vanie Marlow they had one
child named Janice. Janice 1st md Joe Hudson(1918-1948) from Dunkirk
Indiana. Joe and Janice moved to New River; Joe was killed in a mining
accident. Joe is buried in the Rosedale Cemetery.

1st wife, Perlia Mae Byrge buried at Byrge Cemetery. Lonas's 2nd wife was
Mary Osborn, d/o Sarah Davis Kennedy, Sarah was last wife of John Kennedy.
Lonas and Mary lived around Shea and later settled at Dunkirk Indiana.
When Lonas died he was brought back and buried in Beech Fork Cemetery.
Mary spent the rest of her life in Dunkirk and was buried there in 1997;
Lonas and Mary's children: Lonnie and Arlin.
